Position Description: GCR Manager
Location: Paragould, AR
Grade: GRT11N
Departments: Sales & Marketing
General Nature of Position:
Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services. Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses. Identify prospective customers, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
Essential Functions:
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Visits job sites to keep contractors supplied with materials in a timely manner, or to inform contractors of any delays or problems.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Tracks stock levels.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Position Description: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Paragould, AR
Departments: Engineering
General Nature of Position:
The Manufacturing Engineer responsible for establishing a vision for machine upkeep and improvements. Also plans, coordinates and implements plant engineering activities and projects including renovations, layout equipment up-grades, needs projections and utilities supply. Coordinates tooling changes to further improve design of tools for optimum manufacturing capability and conducts investigations into manufacturing problems resulting from equipment and/or process changes.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for cost reductions, productivity improvements and up-time improvement of machines.
- Provides support to production floor.
- Responsible coordinating, justifying and implementing capital projects.
- Plans, coordinates and implements plant engineering activities and projects including renovations, layouts, equipment up-grades, and needs projections.
- Coordinates tooling changes to further improve design of tools for optimum manufacturing capability and conducts investigations into manufacturing problems resulting from equipment.
- Lead and direct the Maintenance Team.
- Establish a vision for machine upkeep and improvements.
- Implement a TPM Program.
- Backup support for environmental.
Other Responsibilities:
- Position requires frequent contacts with manufacturing, quality, and plant engineering.
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field through study of technical literature and membership in technical societies if required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Position Description: Process Engineer
Location: Paragould, AR
Departments: Technical/Mfg.
General Nature of Position:
Coordinates engineering work relating to manufacturing processes, including developmental and experimental phases leading to production.
Essential Functions:
- Plans and coordinates the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and process equipment.
- May develop sketches, drawings, and outlines necessary for completion of assignments.
- May design tools and fixtures required for certain operations.
- Coordinates tooling changes to further improve design of tools for optimum manufacturing capability.
- Conducts or directs investigations into manufacturing problems resulting from product and/or process changes.
- Coordinates the transfer of completed projects to manufacturing and provides engineering assistance during initial start-up production.
- Develops, with product engineering, new product introduction from experimentation to full production.
- Works with production personnel on new product introduction from experimentation to full production.
- Keeps supervisor regularly informed of all activities and carries out special assignments as directed.
- Documents and finalizes each technical process change and coordinates work procedural changes with quality to excecute technical decisions.
Other Responsibilities:
Position required frequent contacts with manufacturing, engineering and quality control. Keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field through study of technical literature, and membership in technical societies if required.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Working Conditions:
Restricted area, manufacturing floor (protective clothing, head gear, shoes) & office environment.
